Documented medical research highlighting the devastating health consequences of unregulated agrochemical spraying in orchards.

Orchard Exposure Chemical Spray Impact
SKIMS Research Finding: 90.04% of primary malignant brain tumor patients were orchard workers or residents with 10–20 years of continuous pesticide exposure.

The Link Between Toxic Pesticides & Human Disease

Cases of cancer and brain tumors are increasing in Jammu and Kashmir due to excessive spraying of chemical pesticides. A study by the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) linked tumors to neurotoxic and carcinogenic agrochemicals including chlorpyrifos, dimethoate, mancozeb, and captan.

Pesticides contaminate air, soil, and ground water, harming beneficial species, pollinators, and aquatic life while entering the food chain. Lack of protective gear and regulations has caused respiratory problems, neurological disorders, and chronic conditions like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Official Relief Statement: "We The Humans played an important role to alleviate the sufferings of families in distress during the first and second waves of COVID-19. Apart from holding more than fifty awareness camps, approximately 300 qtls of ration and more than 3,000 COVID Hygiene Kits were distributed in Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Kathua and Doda districts. Extreme cold weather blankets and sewing machines were also distributed among needy families under the close coordination and guidance of the District Police Authorities."

Help those vulnerable, including sanitation workers, poor and elders, by providing them with Sanitizers, disinfectant soaps, detergent soaps, reusable cloth facemasks in plenty.
